Nafir by Stafrænn Hákon

Nafir began during a visit to Árni Þór Árnason’s workshop in Tjörnarp, Sweden. A weekend of demoing ideas turned into a sound that became the foundation for the record.
Nafir continues in a space Stafrænn Hákon has circled for years: melodic repetition, dreamy weight, loose imagination, and a slight surreal bend beneath the surface. What begins as sketches, riffs or half-formed ideas is pushed into something more whole, not polished flat, but left breathing.
This release is compact by design. The player is part of the listening, the cassette is part of the release, and the page is meant to feel like a small standalone object rather than a long explanation.
